Costume Exchange Policy
Below you will find answers to your questions regarding how to exchange or return an order placed with us. For assistance, please email our returns department or call 800-979-3156.
We want to do everything we can to make this Halloween a special and memorable time for you and your family. If for any reason your costume does not fit properly, you may exchange the item for a different size or for something of equal or greater value (provided that you pay any additional charges applied during the exchange). We also recommend to call our friendly customer service team if you are unsure about the sizing of the costume you would like to purchase. Our friendly staff is willing to answer all your questions and we have no problems taking the time to measure your costume and answer any of your questions before shipping. Our policy is: “Measure twice; ship once”. We want to make sure you are happy with your purchase by the time you receive it for that special Halloween night.
Exchange and return policy
IMPORTANT: Due to the seasonal nature of our products during the Halloween Season, All orders shipped between October 21 and November 1st are all FINAL SALES. THEY CAN NOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED. Please be sure to review sizes and costume descriptions before ordering. We advise you to order early to avoid problems and disappointment during this short black our period. We also recommend calling us with any questions if you have any concerns before making your purchase.
For sanitary and health reasons we can not accept Returns or Exchanges on the following:
- Make Up
- Pet Costumes
- Hair Spray
- Costume Teeth
- Hosiery
- Wigs, beards, mustaches
- Undergarments
- Stockings
- Socks
- Eyelashes
- Shoes that show obvious wear
- Any item that has been worn, used or altered
We do apologize for this inconvenience, but we're sure you'll appreciate the fact that we do not try to resell used costume teeth or undergarments. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
When placing exchanges for a different costume, we recommend placing a new order for the desired item, instead of waiting for the entire exchange process to take place. This helps ensure that your item will be in stock and that you can receive it promptly. This procedure is referred to as a cross-shipment, and our customer service staff can assist you with this procedure. If you place a cross-shipment for an exchange item and you're ready for an RMA please email our customer service department and an RMA will be issued to you shortly. In that email please be sure to reference the original order number, replacement order number, and to also list RMA in the subject line. Once an RMA has been given for exchange, the exchange must be postmarked within 3 days of the RMA date or it may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
To return an item, you must email our customer service department or call 800-979-3156 within 7 days of receiving your merchandise to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions. Brandsonsale.com is not responsible for shipping charges on exchanged or returned items. Once Authorization is given, your package must be post-marked within 3 days from the return authorization date.
All returns will be handled on a case by case basis. No returns will be authorized after 7 days of receipt of goods. All authorized returns with a proper RMA number are subject to a 20% restocking fee, plus shipping costs for the item. Exchanges will be authorized for costumes held up to 20 days, provided that the exchange is of equal or greater value. Customer will provide the difference in cost if needed. If an order is placed with expedited shipping, a return request will only be allowed within 48 hrs. after the merchandise has been received. The exchange policy will remain the same. Again, every customer's concern will be handled on a case by case basis, with your satisfaction being the focal point of our service.
Items being returned or exchanged MUST be in their original, unused condition and in their original packaging. We do not accept returns on worn merchandise. This helps us ensure that we only sell brand new items, and that our customers do not receive previously worn costumes. The item will be sent back to you at your expense if we feel it has been worn and no credit will be issued. Each item is thoroughly inspected by our returns manager, so please do not send back used merchandise.
Refused or undeliverable packages are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Please make sure you provide the proper address at the time of the order to prevent your package from coming back.
Returns and Exchanges can take up to 7 business days to process once it is received in our facilities. After processing your return, all credits are usually issued within 14 business days.
Any order that is returned with out a proper RMA number may not be eligible for a credit.
Defective or damaged item?
If there is a problem with your order due to a mis-shipment, please let us know and we will issue an RMA and arrange for a reshipment or cross-shipment. Defective items can only be exchanged for the same item and not entitled for a refund. If an item is damaged we must be notified immediately within 24 hours from receipt of shipment. Please email our returns department or call 1-800-979-3156 to report the damage or defect.
Please Note: Costume styles (Colors and Fabrics) are subject to change without notice, due to the manufacturer’s production. These changes, no matter how slight, are beyond our control. The Manufacturers do not always notify us of these variations. We do reflect any changes in the website descriptions and images as soon as we become aware of them. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your understanding with this issue.
All items are thoroughly checked prior to shipping. If an item is damaged or destroyed in shipping, please contact us or the carrier immediately upon inspection so we can remedy the situation.
International orders that may arrive late due to customs delay are beyond our control therefore we will not be held accountable for this issue. Please order on time.
